Classic Juice Recipe: Lemon Ginger Blast


— 2 Apples
— 1-3 in. piece Ginger
— 1 Lemon (un-peeled if organic; peeled if not organic)
— 1 bunch Cilantro
— 1 bunch Parsley
— 1 bunch Arugula
— 3 Habaneros
— 1 Cucumber
Makes 1 quart of juice.

Confession of a Former Meat Eater


I was just in Costa Rica eating the most sweet ripe and amazing pineapples, mangoes, bananas, star fruit, lychee fruit, watermelon, papayas, and more. When I walked by a meat stand in San Jose’s central market the smell almost made me vomit. The meat looked and smelled like death. I could smell the putrification yet this meat was probably freshly slaughtered. I left that market and headed straight for my favorite juice stand. Life is about choices and even if you live in a beautiful abundant garden like Costa Rica you can still order a Big Mac. It’s always up to you.


The Protein Myth


Humans are not a meat eating species. You don’t need protein. You need amino acids, and you will find plenty of them in fruit and leafy greens. In fact they are in all foods. Tell a gorilla that he needs to eat meat to grow up to be big and strong and he just might rip your head off! High protein diets are acidic and can destroy your kidneys leading to fun things like rheumatoid arthritis. Be good to yourself and eat the foods we are meant to eat — raw fruits and veggies.

Detox: The True “Fountain of Youth”

We are just trillions of cells that float in a fluid that is mostly lymph.
